When we arrived for the initial estimate, the wood deck was in rough shape — the main deck floor sagged almost 3 inches lower in the center compared to the edges near the house. The original builder had installed the structure incorrectly, and years of water damage and rotted deck boards left the deck unsafe and badly deformed.
Our Deck Repair & Restoration Process
To bring this outdoor living space back to life, our team completed a full structural deck repair and upgrade:
- Replaced and added new structural support beams
- Installed a new ledger board securely attached to the house
- Replaced all damaged joists, including several rotted joists and rim joists, to restore strength and stability
- Installed hand-selected redwood decking boards and fascias for a natural and durable finish
- Made a new trap door for the utilities access
- Sealed and stained the entire surface for long-lasting protection
- Ensured everything was up to California building code
We didn’t need to completely tear everything down — the existing deck railings and pergola were preserved, re-secured, and reinforced for safety.

So when I saw that flower, which was her favorite flower, it really hit me. And he didn’t know that. But again, who does that? And it just shows you what kind of a man you’re hiring and you will not regret it. So, Alex, thanks again. Thanks for all that you did. You’re a five star. I can see now by looking at the rest of your reviews why I didn’t know you did such great work, but now I know. And anyway, you will not regret hiring this person.
